The "Molecular Laboratory Techniques Applied Training Course in Research and Medical Applications," hosted by the Department of Medical Biochemistry at our Faculty of Medicine in collaboration with the Turkish Biochemistry Society, began on November 18, 2024, Monday.
The course, attended by 25 postgraduate students and faculty members from various universities across Turkey, aims to teach the fundamental principles and advanced techniques in molecular biology and biochemistry, enhance data analysis skills, and improve laboratory practice.
The opening ceremony of the Applied Training Course was attended by Rector Prof. Dr. Bülent ŞENGÖRÜR, Faculty of Medicine Dean Prof. Dr. Erkan YILMAZ, General Secretary Ahmet ŞİMŞEK, Gazi University Faculty of Medicine Medical Biochemistry Department faculty member Prof. Dr. Aylin SEPİCİ DİNÇEL, Çukurova University Faculty of Medicine Medical Biochemistry Department faculty member Prof. Dr. Abdullah TULİ, Head of the Department of Medical Biochemistry Assoc. Prof. Dr. İsmail SARI, as well as the faculty's academic and administrative staff and the course participants.
After the opening and welcoming speeches, Rector Prof. Dr. Bülent ŞENGÖRÜR expressed the following in his speech:
"I am very pleased to be here with you today at the opening of this course, which will continue throughout this week. I believe this course will be very beneficial for both the trainers and the participants. I think such events not only transfer new techniques and scientific advancements but also strengthen the platform for information exchange and collaboration among scientists. I believe that these kinds of organizations, which contribute to the progress of science, are of great importance for participants and the scientific community. As a rector, I would like to express how pleased I am to support such an event. I hope this one-week course will make valuable contributions to the participants and science."
