As part of the Food Specialization initiatives, our university’s Continuing Education Center organized an Introductory Queen Beekeeping Training on November 21-22, 2024.
The training, conducted under Project No. BKOP 05, titled “Continuing Education Programs for Businesses and Farmers Operating in the Food Sector”, was led by Project Coordinator Assoc. Prof. Dr. Taha Eğri and facilitated by Senior Engineer Gülten BULUT from the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, General Directorate of Livestock. A total of 13 participants successfully completed the program.
The participants were provided with theoretical knowledge on the fundamentals of beekeeping and queen bee rearing. The program also included a technical tour to enhance practical skills through hands-on experience.
Contributions to the successful execution of the program were recognized with certificates of appreciation, presented by Continuing Education Center Deputy Director Lecturer Dr. Nurullah KARACA to Nuri ÇALIŞKAN, President of the Kırklareli Beekeepers Association, Veterinarian Halil ATMACA from the Kırklareli Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry, and Recep KAYMAK from the Kırklareli Beekeepers Association.
The training concluded with the taking of commemorative photographs to mark the occasion.
