Our Rector, Prof. Dr. Bülent ŞENGÖRÜR, participated in the opening ceremony of the Babaeski Sarı Saltuk Culture Center and Cemevi, held on Friday, December 6, 2024, with the esteemed presence of Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri ERSOY.
In his opening speech, Minister ERSOY emphasized, “It is among our primary duties to support the institutions established by Hacı Bektaş-ı Veli and his descendants, which have contributed to the spiritual and cultural enrichment of Anatolia through knowledge, wisdom, and enlightenment. We know that such institutions have nurtured righteous individuals who shaped our civilization. From Mevlana, Yunus Emre, and Hacı Bektaş-ı Veli, we have learned to approach life with love, tolerance, justice, and altruism. We have always believed that the philosophy and values represented by Hacı Bektaş-ı Veli hold universal meaning for all of us. With this understanding, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism continues its efforts to translate the works of our spiritual leaders into foreign languages to introduce their teachings to international audiences.”
Following the speeches, the protocol members cut the ribbon to officially inaugurate the Sarı Saltuk Culture Center and Cemevi.
